Repertory Theatre presented Charlotte’s
Web. With all the characters audiences know and love: “Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid
the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other;
Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed;
the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider,
Charlotte.
Children in grades kindergarten through 12th grade have devoted over two weeks of their summer to learning about acting, make-up, costuming, set construction, choreography/stage movement, props and all areas of theatre. This was all in preparation for performing Charlotte’s Web during the 38th annual "Farmin’ on the Fourth" Jonesborough Days Festival. Part of the proceeds went to the funding of community events like Jonesborough Days. They had an intensive two weeks of learning and then they performed six performances in three days! They were also be in the Jonesborough Days parade on Friday, July 4th.

Petersen Family Chiropractic generously agreed to sponsor the play in order to keep ticket prices to a minimum. The theatre is located off Main Street beside the Historic Eureka Inn.
For those of you who may have been under a rock during your childhood, Charlotte’s Web is a heart - warming story that will give audiences a glimpse of life on the farm and humble friendships. Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe "radiant" Wilbur doing what is truly most important to Charlotte.
While the performance took place on the Youth Stage, all ages were amazed with the level of professionalism these youngsters delivered!
